Mission: Fortuna
Location: Crew quarters, USS Brittanic

ON:

With them being given a clean bill of health, Syavr, the twins, Ren and Cassandra had been placed together in crew quarters while Amelia was speaking to the Captain. Amelia returned a little over half an hour later.

"The Captain will be joining us shortly. I've also asked the Doctor and Counsellor to be present before I brief you all on our... situation." She chose her words carefully."

She looked around each of them, knowing Svar would pick up on her unease. "What I'm about to tell you does not leave this room, understood?"

"That sounds ominous," Syvar commented as he bounced one of the twins in his arms, pretending to make her fly.

"You don't have to be warp scientist to figure out there is something majorly wrong here." Ren commented.

Captain Fredricks was the first to enter the crew quarters. He glanced at the room and couldn't help but wonder what sort of life they were living in their year. He had many questions but ones that could never be asked or answered. "Greetings to you all. My name is Lukas Fredricks, Commanding Officer of the USS Britannic. This is my First Officer and Chief Counselor, Commander Naois Mercy. The other is the ship's Chief Medical Officer Doctor Peeq Elyro." The Captain said by way of introduction.

Naois glanced sideways at his companions, having exited sickbay himself not too long ago. "Tell me again, where did you find them and where did they come from?" He asked quietly.

The short for his species Edosian had entered alongside the Captain, silently observing the situation and trying not to get too much into the way. He held a datapad in his central hand though, just inside his eyeline, as he took notes.

Cassandra was perched in the corner of the room on a side table, still feeling a little dazed at what had happened. Still not knowing what had happened to Ollie, Captain Reynolds or the others and she likely wouldn't for another twenty six years.
She brought her arms around herself and, in an almost defensive move she started to hug herself.
"We've come what I believe having consulted your ship's database to be approximately twenty six years from your future as our ship was destroyed after a devastating attack. Temporal prime directive, which I am a little rusty on, does dictate that we provide no information about your future!"

Amelia nodded. "That's basically what's happened, and yes we cannot give anyone any foreknowledge of what's going to happen. To do so could have disastrous consequences. I suppose the next question is what to we do now?"

Lukas cleared his throat and took a step forward. "I understand you will have questions, its only natural. However, as you can see, we're in the middle of a mission and Britannic has taken a battering..." 'Not for the first time.' Lukas thought to himself. "...so my suggestion would be to rest and let what has happened sink in and settle. Doctor Elyro is here to give you all a once over check up. Commander Mercy can help answer any questions you might have. Commander Fox has volunteered your services with our mission, I may have to take that offer as we are now short on abled body crew. Is there any questions for me before I leave you in the Doctors' and Commander's capable hands?"

"What will happen to us?" Syvar asked, "if you have a crisis and we can help, doesn't it make sense to let us? I'm a doctor... I'd want to help..."

Doctor Elyro fielded that one for his Captain, "You'll have to pardon my interruption, but I feel that I may be able to better serve that question. As the Chief Medical Officer for the Britannic, I am exempted from the provisions of the Temporal Prime Directive, so long as I am providing healthcare services to a patient. Anything that you tell me will be held strictly confidential for the duration of your treatment, and I will not share afterwards." It was a necessary provision as healthcare services frequently became enhanced over time and it was possible that they had been exposed to treatments that were not readily available - or even considered - in this day and age.

"Right now, I think I think we all just need some time to get used to this.... situation." Amalia said, trying to calm the group.
